The Vice Chancellor of the University of Bahr El Ghazal Prof. Dr. Victor Laku Kwajok, and Deputy Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance, Prof. Dr. Hawa Abdullah Marjan, on Wednesday 20 September 2023, attended the closing day of the 5th Biennial African Philosophy World Conference, hosted by the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies, Gulu University in Collaboration with Makerere and Kyambogo Universities, from 18th to 20th September 2023.
The conference was attended by representative from public Universities in East African region, Africa and the world, as well as individual scholars and other participants.
The conference focused on the theme and issues of “Gender dimensions of African philosophy as traditional, modern and future thoughts”.
The keynote speakers at the conference were Prof. Taban Lo Liyong, Associate Prof. Anke Graness, Prof. Sylvia Tamale, Prof. Josephine Ahikire and Prof. Ebunoluwa Olufemi Oduwole.
