The Acting Vice Chancellor of the University of Bahr El-Ghazal Prof. Peter Atem Deng, accompanied by Deputy Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance, Prof. Hawa Abdullah Marjan and Academic Registrar Prof. Charles Epiphanio Wani, met Governor of Western Bahr el Ghazal State Hon. Sarah Celto Hassan and Deputy Governor Hon. Zacharia Joseph Garang in the State Government Secretariat General, on Wednesday 16, August 2023.
The meeting discussed the situations in the university that caused by the protest of the students against the adjustment of tuition fees.
Prof. Atem and his team brief the governor on the developments that forced the administration to close the University.
In a official statement issued yesterday, the Acting Vice Chancellor of the University of Bahr El-Ghazal Prof. Peter Atem Deng, has announced the immediate closure of the University for indefinite period following the protest in the higher learning institution by the students on Tuesday and Wednesday, over adjustment of tution fees.
